Flash Memory Toolkit is actually a collection of small utilities for flash USB memory devices. These utilities are very helpful in many cases. Flash Memory toolkit contains an Info utility which provides you detailed information about your USB Flash drive like its capacity in megabytes and bytes and total number of sectors, total used and free space. It also gives you the file system of your USB Flash memory device. If we check its more technical information then it provides us the card reader information of the device and operating system version and detailed USB ports configuration of our system. Now let's move to its Error Scan utility. It can scan your USB flash memory device for any physical read or write error with multiple passes and we can select the number of passes according to our requirement. Its Eraser utility gives us two options: one is a quick erase and another one is a full erase. By the quick erase option it is possible to recover data, but it is not possible by using of the full erase option. It also includes a File Recovery utility to recover your lost files. Presently it supports many common and important file formats but not all. With the backup and restore utility you can take backup of your whole USB memory device and then restore it back on emergency. It also includes a file benchmark and low-level benchmark utilities by which you can test your USB memory device for read and write speed. |
